| For
the past 20 years, award-winning artist and lifelong Alaskan Teresa Ascone
has portrayed her impressions of the rugged and spectacular Alaskan landscape
in watercolor. Teresa's work has been featured in numerous solo shows and
has appeared on the covers of "Alaska Horizons" and "Arctic
Horizons" magazines. In 1988, the award-winning PBS produced video
entitled, "Landscapes of the Imagination: The Art of Teresa Ascone",
honored her work in 1988. Her print and poster designs have been reproduced
by the Alaska Women's Resource Center, Alaska Women's Run, Alaska Center
for the Performing Arts, and The Anchorage Sister Cities Commission. Teaching watercolor has been a rewarding element of Teresa's work since 1981, and has led to the development of a step-by-step system of learning watercolor. Her system includes her book, "We're All Artists: Watercolor for Everyone", The Ultimate Palette-patented in 1995, and the Artist's Tool Kit. Teresa's company, Alaskan Portfolio, distributes her watercolor instruction products worldwide by mail order. |
